The OPPO Reno15 Pro Mini 5G is a compact, 6.32-inch-class flagship-style phone with a 200MP main camera, a 50MP 3.5x telephoto, the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chip, a 6,200mAh battery and 80W charging. If you want a smaller phone that still has a telephoto lens and IP69 protection, it is one of the more interesting options in OPPO’s lineup. If you want wireless charging or the largest possible screen, look elsewhere.

The listing linked on this page is the Cocoa Brown, 12GB RAM and 512GB storage version. This article is based on OPPO’s official India product page and published spec sheets, checked on 29 October 2026, not on hands-on testing. We have not used the phone, and we found no full independent lab review for it in the sources available to us, so claims about battery life, camera quality and sustained performance are left open on purpose.

Quick verdict

  • Best for: buyers who want a smaller, lighter phone with a 200MP camera, a 3.5x telephoto and a big battery for its size
  • Skip if: you want wireless charging, a 3.5mm headphone jack, or an LTPO display for the best power savings
  • Key strengths: compact 187g body (per GSMArena’s global spec page), 6,200mAh battery, 80W charging, IP69 rating, three capable rear cameras and a 50MP wide selfie camera
  • Key limitations: no wireless charging listed, the display is not LTPO according to GSMArena, OPPO’s India page does not state an update policy, and the page leaves out dimensions, weight and box contents

Display and design: why compact matters

OPPO’s India page lists a 16.05cm (6.32-inch-class) OLED with FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, HDR10+ certification, a 93.35% active screen-to-body ratio and 1.07 billion colours. GSMArena’s global spec sheet adds a 1216 x 2640 resolution, about 460 ppi, Gorilla Glass 7i, and 600 nits typical and 1,800 nits in high brightness mode. GSMArena also measured a maximum of 1,237 nits on this panel, which is a useful independent figure but not a full display review.

A panel this size is the real reason to look at the Mini. At 151.2mm tall, 72.4mm wide and 187g according to GSMArena (OPPO’s page does not give dimensions or weight), it is far easier to hold and pocket than a typical 6.7-inch phone. For many people, one-handed use matters more than an extra half-inch of screen. The trade-off is less room for video and a smaller keyboard, but that is true of every compact phone.

GSMArena’s review introduction says it was hoping for an LTPO panel, and the Reno15 Pro hands-on says the Mini has a non-LTPO display. In everyday terms, an LTPO panel can lower its refresh rate more aggressively to save power, so a non-LTPO display may use a bit more battery in similar situations. OPPO describes a one-piece sculpted glass design with an aerospace-grade aluminium frame and a HoloFusion back glass with a nano-engraved finish.

On durability, OPPO lists an IP69 rating, with IP68 and IP66 levels noted in a footnote under lab conditions. IP69 is the higher-pressure, higher-temperature water-jet rating, but it does not mean the phone is suited to every situation, so treat it as protection against rain, splashes and accidental drops in water rather than a reason to take it swimming. GSMArena’s global spec page states immersion up to 1.5 metres for 30 minutes.

Performance and cooling expectations

The Mini uses the same MediaTek Dimensity 8450 (4nm) as the larger Reno15 Pro and the Reno14 Pro, with a Mali-G720 MC7 GPU, 12GB of RAM and UFS 3.1 storage on the global model. GSMArena’s Reno15 Pro hands-on lists a Geekbench 6 multi-core score of about 6,201 for the global Mini, which is close to the figure it reported for the larger Indian model. That points to similar peak speed, but it is one benchmark and says nothing about how the compact body handles heat over a long gaming session.

A smaller chassis has less surface area to dissipate heat, so sustained performance is the question to ask of any compact phone. We could not find a throttling or stress test for this model, so if you plan to play demanding games for long sessions, wait for an independent test or choose a larger body. For everyday use, social apps, video and photography, the chip should be adequate based on its class, but we cannot back that up with measured results here.

Cameras: 200MP main and a real telephoto

OPPO lists a 200MP main camera, a 50MP telephoto with 3.5x optical zoom and a 50MP ultra-wide (with a 0.6x view) and says zoom can go up to 120x. GSMArena’s spec page gives the main camera as f/1.8 with OIS and phase-detection autofocus, the telephoto as f/2.8 with OIS, and the ultra-wide as f/2.0 with a 116-degree field of view. Video goes up to 4K at 60fps on the rear camera, and OPPO says electronic stabilisation works with OIS on the main camera.

The front camera is a 50MP ultra-wide with a 100-degree field of view, which is helpful for group selfies and wide shots with a background. It is a less common choice, as many phones use a narrower selfie lens, and it may suit travel and group photos better than close-up portraits.

OPPO also lists a long set of AI camera tools, including AI Portrait Camera, AI Flash Photography 2.0, Dual-View Video and Video Editing 2.0, some of which the page says may vary by region and arrive through updates. Treat these as extras. The more reliable reasons to like the camera setup are the hardware list: a high-resolution main sensor, optical zoom and a wide selfie lens in a small body. How good the photos are depends on OPPO’s processing, and we have no independent camera test to cite.

Battery and charging

The battery is 6,200mAh (typical value), which is large for a phone with a 6.32-inch-class screen. OPPO claims 80W SUPERVOOC charging and a 1% to 100% time of 53 minutes, and GSMArena’s spec page adds 55W PPS and 13.5W PD modes and reverse wired charging. OPPO’s page does not mention wireless charging, and GSMArena’s list does not include it either, so assume the phone is wired-only.

We did not find an independent battery-endurance test for this phone, so we will not give you a runtime figure. Battery size alone is a good sign, but a bright 120Hz non-LTPO screen, 5G and heavy camera use can all reduce real-world results. GSMArena’s unboxing of the global model shows a 100W SuperVOOC adapter, a cable and a transparent case in the box, but OPPO’s India page does not list box contents, so confirm what the Amazon listing says before you order.

Software

OPPO’s page names ColorOS 16 and talks about smooth performance over six years, but it does not state a formal Android or security update commitment. GSMArena’s spec page lists Android 16. For a clear update policy, check OPPO’s India support information before buying. Note that OPPO’s page also says AI features may differ by region and software version.

Alternatives worth comparing

OPPO Reno15 Pro 5G: the larger sibling. GSMArena lists a 6.78-inch AMOLED, 205g, a 6,500mAh battery, 80W wired and 50W wireless charging, plus Android 16. Its hands-on describes the display as LTPO and notes a five-year OS update and six-year security update promise, though that policy is for the Reno15 Pro, not the Mini.

OPPO Reno14 Pro 5G: an earlier model that OPPO lists with a 6.83-inch OLED, about 201g, a 6,200mAh battery, 80W wired and 50W wireless charging, and 50MP rear cameras. It is a bigger phone but adds wireless charging.

Other compact rivals: GSMArena’s hands-on names the vivo X200T as a rival at the Mini’s price point. We have not checked its specifications for this article, so read its official page before comparing.

Buying tips before you order

  • Check the variant: this link is for the Cocoa Brown, 12GB + 512GB listing. Other colours and memory sizes are separate listings
  • Confirm Indian specs: several details here (size, weight, memory, display brightness) come from GSMArena’s global model page, and OPPO’s India page does not publish them, so check the listing
  • Look at the box: box contents are not listed on OPPO’s page
  • Warranty: OPPO links to a warranty policy without a summary on the product page, so read it and keep your invoice
  • Wireless charging: do not buy this phone expecting it
