The OPPO Reno15 Pro 5G is a large, premium-priced Reno with a 200MP main camera, a 50MP 3.5x telephoto, a 6,500mAh battery, 80W wired and 50W wireless charging, IP68/IP69 protection and a stated five-year Android update promise. It is a strong spec sheet for someone who wants a big, bright OLED phone with a telephoto and does not mind a heavy 205g body. It is not the one to pick if you want a small phone or the very latest chip.
The listing linked here is the Brown, 12GB RAM and 512GB storage version. This article is based on published specifications and reviews, not hands-on testing. OPPO’s own India product page for this model would not load when we tried it on 29 October 2026, so the specifications below come mainly from GSMArena and 91mobiles, and we say so wherever it matters. Nothing here is a result from our own use of the phone.
Quick verdict
- Best for: buyers who want a big LTPO OLED, a 200MP main camera, a telephoto lens and fast wired plus wireless charging in one phone
- Skip if: you want a compact phone, a newer-generation processor, or a phone that is easy to use with one hand
- Key strengths: 6,500mAh battery, 80W wired and 50W wireless charging, IP68/IP69, Android 16 with a five-year OS update promise, NFC and an IR blaster
- Key limitations: GSMArena’s hands-on found the camera island causes wobble on a flat surface, the optical fingerprint sensor sits low, only the 200MP camera records 4K at 60fps, and the Dimensity 8450 is not a new chip

Design and display
GSMArena lists a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel at 1272 x 2772 pixels, about 450 ppi, with 120Hz refresh and HDR10+ support. 91mobiles specifies LTPO technology, which lets the refresh rate drop lower when you are reading a static page and so helps the battery. The Amazon listing title for our variant says 6.7-inch, which is a rounded figure, so check the listing against the 6.78-inch figure published elsewhere.
Brightness figures differ between sources. The GSMArena specification page gives 600 nits typical and 1,800 nits in high brightness mode, while its hands-on and 91mobiles both quote 3,600 nits peak. The reviewer said the screen was legible in sunlight. They also advised using the High refresh rate setting because the automatic mode mostly capped at 90Hz, and they could not test the advertised 120fps gaming mode because none of their games exceeded 60fps.
The physical build is premium. GSMArena lists a Gorilla Glass Victus 2 front, an aluminium frame and a glass back, at 7.7mm thick and 205g. The reviewer called it solid and premium but large and hard to use one-handed, and noted that the protruding camera island makes the phone rock on a table. If you plan to use it on a desk often, a case may fix that.
Water and dust resistance is listed as IP68 and IP69 on GSMArena’s spec page (immersion up to 1.5 metres for 30 minutes), with the hands-on adding IP66. These are lab ratings and do not cover every liquid, so do not read them as permission to take the phone swimming.
Performance
The phone uses the MediaTek Dimensity 8450, a 4nm chip with a Mali-G720 MC7 GPU, paired with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. GSMArena’s hands-on says it is the same chip used in the Reno14 Pro, that daily use and long gaming sessions felt smooth, that the phone got warm but not hot, and that sustained performance was unremarkable. It reports a Geekbench 6 multi-core score of about 6,240 for the Indian model, though that is a single benchmark in a hands-on, not a full lab test.
For most users, that translates into comfortable daily performance, social apps, video and mainstream gaming. If you want the newest flagship silicon for demanding long gaming sessions, GSMArena’s list of cons includes that the processor is not the newest, so look at phones in the same price band that use newer chips.
Cameras
The rear system has a 200MP main camera (f/1.8, 1/1.56-inch sensor, OIS), a 50MP telephoto with 3.5x optical zoom and OIS, and a 50MP ultra-wide with a 116-degree field of view. The front camera is 50MP with autofocus and a 100-degree view. GSMArena noted that the 200MP main sensor mostly shoots at 50MP in low light, which it says Oppo describes as intentional, and that there is no telephoto macro mode.
One detail to know before you buy: according to the hands-on, only the 200MP primary camera records 4K at 60fps. If smooth 4K 60fps video on the zoom or ultra-wide lens matters to you, look for confirmation before ordering. The reviewer called the results good overall but did not go into photo-quality detail, so we cannot give you independent verdicts on image quality.
What does a 3.5x telephoto give you in practice? It lets you frame distant subjects and portraits without cropping into the main sensor and reduces the quality loss you get from digital zoom at moderate distances. Whether the processing is to your taste is a personal call that spec sheets cannot answer.
Battery and charging
The battery is 6,500mAh, and charging is listed at 80W wired (with 55W PPS and 13.5W PD fallbacks) and 50W wireless, plus reverse wired charging. Oppo claims a full charge in 51 minutes. GSMArena’s hands-on measured 31% after 15 minutes, 50% after 24 minutes, 60% after 30 minutes and 100% after 54 minutes. The reviewer said the phone lasted about a day and a half with moderate use and handled a heavier day with charge to spare. That is a one-reviewer observation, not a standardised battery test, and the wireless charging claim was not verified in that hands-on.
In practice, a 6,500mAh cell with a charger this fast means you can top up quickly, and wireless support makes bedside or desk charging easier. Check what is included in the box, since the sources we used do not list in-box items for the Indian retail pack.
Software and updates
The phone ships with Android 16 and ColorOS 16. Both GSMArena’s hands-on and 91mobiles state a five-year OS update and six-year security update promise, which is a notable plus for anyone who keeps phones for a long time. The hands-on also noted that the phone ships with ten third-party apps, fewer than earlier Indian Oppo units. Because we could not open OPPO’s own page, confirm the update policy on OPPO’s site before treating it as final.

Alternatives worth comparing
OPPO Reno15 Pro Mini 5G: a smaller sibling. GSMArena lists a 6.32-inch AMOLED, 187g, a 6,200mAh battery and 80W charging, and no wireless charging, and its hands-on notes the Mini has a non-LTPO display. The same Dimensity 8450 chip is used.
OPPO Reno14 Pro 5G: the previous generation, which OPPO lists with a 6.83-inch OLED, a 6,200mAh battery, 80W wired and 50W wireless charging and ColorOS 15 at launch. It uses the same chip but, per the sources above, a smaller battery and older software.
Higher-priced flagships: GSMArena’s hands-on compares the Reno15 Pro against the OnePlus 15, iQOO 15, Find X9, vivo X300 and realme GT 8 Pro. We have not verified those phones’ specifications here, so check their official pages if you are cross-shopping.
Buying tips before you order
- Confirm the variant: the link on this page is for the Brown, 12GB + 512GB listing. A different colour, memory size or seller listing is a separate product page
- Check the screen size wording: the Amazon title says 6.7-inch while published spec sheets say 6.78-inch
- Check the box: we could not confirm in-box contents, including whether a charger and cover are included
- Warranty and service: OPPO’s warranty terms were not available to us, so check them on the listing and keep your invoice
- Use a case: the reviewer noted the camera island makes the phone wobble on flat surfaces

Our take
The OPPO Reno15 Pro 5G brings a long update promise, a 200MP camera with a real telephoto, a 6,500mAh battery and very fast charging into one large phone. Its weak points are size, the camera-island wobble, uneven 4K 60fps support and a processor that is not new. If that trade-off fits, check the current price of the OPPO Reno15 Pro 5G on Amazon.in before you decide.
