The Ambrane Charge 25 is a compact 25W GaN wall charger with a single USB-C port, and the Amazon.in listing linked here bundles it with a USB-C to USB-C cable. It is a sensible replacement charger for phones that ship without one, especially USB-C iPhones and Samsung Galaxy phones that charge at 25W or less. It is not a laptop charger, and the listing does not publish the cable’s length or rating.
This article is based on Ambrane India’s official Charge 25 product page and the Amazon.in listing data captured on 17 October 2026. We have not tested the charger, and we did not find an independent review of this model to cite.
Variant note: the linked listing is the charger with a Type-C to Type-C cable (model name Charge 25-WC, model number ACHA-02). Its technical details give the colour as black with cable, although one feature bullet mentions white. Ambrane’s own site sells the Charge 25 adapter in black and white without mentioning a cable, so confirm the bundle and colour on the listing before you order.

Is 25W enough for your phone?
For a large share of phones sold in India, 25W is the right size. Many Samsung Galaxy A and M phones support 25W charging, iPhones fast-charge over USB Power Delivery, and Google’s Pixel phones also use USB-C PD. Buying a charger bigger than your phone can use does not make it charge faster, because the phone decides how much power to draw.
Ambrane’s product page makes two speed claims of its own: a Samsung Galaxy S24 charged to 50% and an iPhone 15 to 55% in 30 minutes. These are the brand’s figures, not independent test results, and real charge times depend on starting level, temperature, cable quality and whether you use the phone while it charges.
If your phone came with a much faster charger, such as the high-wattage chargers bundled by some Android brands, a third-party 25W charger will charge it more slowly than the original. That is not a fault; those speeds usually rely on the brand’s own charging system.
The Samsung question: PD versus PPS
Samsung’s 25W “Super Fast Charging” uses USB Power Delivery with PPS (Programmable Power Supply). Ambrane’s page says the Charge 25 supports Power Delivery and lists many Galaxy models as compatible, and it claims fast results with a Galaxy S24, but neither the official page nor the listing names PPS. Without that detail, we cannot confirm whether a Galaxy phone will show “Super fast charging” or “Fast charging” on screen with this adapter. If that label matters to you, check the charging status on your phone after delivery while you can still return it.
What about iPhones?
The Amazon title mentions iPhone 17 and iPhone 16, and the feature bullets also list older models back to the iPhone X. There is a practical catch: iPhone 15 and newer models have a USB-C port, so they can use the included USB-C to USB-C cable directly. The iPhone 14 and earlier use Apple’s Lightning port, so you will need a separate USB-C to Lightning cable to charge them from this adapter. The bundled cable will not fit.
The same logic applies to iPads: newer USB-C iPads can use the included cable, while older Lightning iPads need the right cable. Apple Watch and other wearables need their own USB-C charging pucks.
GaN, size and safety
Ambrane says the Charge 25 uses GaN (gallium nitride), a semiconductor material that lets chargers run more efficiently and with less heat in a smaller body than older silicon designs. At 25W, the benefit is mostly size and heat, not extra speed. The Amazon.in listing puts the weight at 60 g, and Ambrane describes it as tiny and portable, but neither source gives dimensions.
For safety, Ambrane lists multi-layer chipset protection against overcharging, overheating and short circuits under its SafeCharge name. Ambrane does not list certifications on this product’s page, so look for the BIS mark on the charger body or box after delivery, which is a reasonable check for any charger sold in India.
Can it charge a laptop?
Only in a limited way. Ambrane’s own FAQ says the Charge 25 may work with low-wattage USB-C laptops but more slowly, and it does not recommend it for laptops that need 45W or more. In practice, 25W might keep a small USB-C laptop alive during light use or charge it slowly overnight, but it is not a substitute for the laptop’s own charger. If you want one adapter for a phone and a laptop, look at a 45W or 65W charger instead.
Pros and cons
- Pro: 25W output covers most Samsung, Pixel and USB-C iPhone users
- Pro: GaN design and 60 g weight make it easy to carry
- Pro: this listing includes a USB-C to USB-C cable
- Pro: protections against overcharging, overheating and short circuits are listed
- Con: single port, so only one device at a time
- Con: PPS support is not stated, which matters for Samsung Super Fast Charging
- Con: cable length and wattage rating are not published
- Con: 180-day warranty is shorter than some rivals
Who should buy it, and who should skip it

Buy it if you have a phone that charges at 25W or less over USB-C and you need a spare or replacement charger for home, office or travel. It is also a tidy choice for families that share USB-C phones, earbuds and a tablet, as long as only one device needs charging at a time.
Skip it if you need to charge two devices together, own a laptop that needs 45W or more, or have a phone that supports a much faster proprietary standard and you want that speed. In those cases, a multi-port charger or your phone brand’s own charger makes more sense.
Alternatives worth comparing
- Ambrane Charge i45: a 45W GaN charger with one USB-C port, listed by Ambrane for MacBook, USB-C laptops and phones. Choose it if you also want light laptop charging.
- Ambrane Charge X33: a 4-in-1 GaN unit with two USB-C ports, one USB-A port and one AC socket, rated 33W on USB-C. Better for a bedside table or desk with several devices.
- Samsung 15W Travel Adapter: a lower-wattage Samsung charger for basic phones and accessories. See our Samsung 15W Travel Adapter review to understand when 15W is enough and when 25W is worth it.
Before you order: a short checklist

- Confirm the bundle: the listing title should read “Ambrane Original 25W Charger Adapter with Type C to C Cable”. Ambrane’s own store lists the adapter alone, so make sure you are buying the cable version if you need one.
- Check the colour: the listing’s technical details say black with cable, but one bullet mentions white.
- Match the cable to your phone: USB-C to USB-C works for iPhone 15 and later, Samsung, Pixel and most Android phones. Older iPhones need a USB-C to Lightning cable.
- Warranty and service: Ambrane states 180 days against manufacturing defects. Ambrane India Pvt Ltd in Sonipat, Haryana, is the importer and marketer. Keep your invoice.
- Test on arrival: plug in your phone and confirm it shows fast charging before the return window closes.

Simple care tips for any phone charger
- Plug the charger fully into the wall socket. A loose fit can cause heat at the pins.
- Do not wrap the cable tightly around the charger, which strains the cable near the connector.
- Keep it away from water and do not charge on a bed or under a pillow.
- Replace a cable that is frayed, bent at the tip or only charges at certain angles.
Frequently asked questions
Does the Ambrane Charge 25 come with a cable?
The Amazon.in listing linked here (Charge 25-WC) includes a USB-C to USB-C cable. Ambrane’s own store sells the Charge 25 adapter without mentioning a cable, so check the listing title.
Does it support Samsung Super Fast Charging?
Ambrane claims Power Delivery support and lists Galaxy phones as compatible, but it does not mention PPS, which Samsung’s Super Fast Charging uses. Check your phone’s charging status after delivery.
Will it fast-charge an iPhone 16 or iPhone 17?
Those iPhones use USB-C and fast-charge over USB Power Delivery, and Ambrane says the Charge 25 supports Power Delivery. Ambrane claims an iPhone 15 reaches 55% in 30 minutes.
Can I use it with an older iPhone?
Yes, but only with a USB-C to Lightning cable, which is not included. The bundled cable is USB-C on both ends.
What is the warranty?
Ambrane’s page and the listing’s feature bullets state 180 days against manufacturing defects. The listing’s technical details say 6 months, which is effectively the same period.
Final take
The Ambrane Charge 25 with Type-C cable is a small, single-port 25W charger that suits most USB-C phones that charge at 25W or below. Its limitations are clear: one port, no confirmed PPS and no published cable specifications. If you need a simple replacement charger for one phone, it fits the job well.
