The best wireless headphones in India for you depend mostly on one question: do you need active noise cancellation (ANC)? If you commute by bus, metro or train and want to dull the engine drone, start with an ANC model such as the Noise Airwave Max 5 or the boAt Rockerz Plus 450 ANC. If you mostly listen at home, in a hostel or at a desk, a non-ANC headphone such as the Sony WH-CH520 or the boAt Rockerz Plus 550 gives you long battery life and simpler controls.

Best Wireless Headphones: key specs at a glance
Best Wireless Headphones key specifications, summarised from the table in this guide.

Every headphone below has a full gadgetsoch review. Our picks are based on official specifications and published reviews summarised in those individual reviews, not on hands-on testing. Availability and prices on Amazon.in change often, so always check the listing before you order.

Battery, ANC and latency figures are manufacturer claims unless a named publication reported otherwise.

How we picked

We only considered headphones that gadgetsoch has already reviewed in full and that were listed in stock on Amazon.in when we checked on 17 October 2026. We then split them into ANC and non-ANC groups, because that single feature changes who a headphone suits more than anything else on the spec sheet.

  • Noise control: true ANC, which reduces what you hear, versus ENC, which only cleans up your voice for the other person on a call
  • Claimed battery life, and whether the brand says how it was measured
  • Two-device support for switching between a phone and a laptop
  • A wired AUX fallback for flights, PCs and flat batteries
  • Weight and fit, where the brand or a reviewer published it
  • How consistent the brand’s own specification pages are

Noise-cancelling (ANC) picks

These three headphones list active noise cancellation. The decibel figures are brand claims with no published test method, so they are not a reliable way to compare models.

Noise Airwave Max 5

Noise lists adaptive hybrid ANC rated up to 50dB, a transparency mode, up to 80 hours of playtime at around 60% volume, a 10-minute Instacharge for up to 600 minutes, dual-device pairing, quad-mic ENC for calls and IPX5 sweat resistance. It suits travellers, hostel users and office workers who want very long battery life and phone-plus-laptop switching in an ANC headphone.

The main caution is the ANC itself: India Today Gaming found it handled fan hum and distant chatter but struggled on busy streets and in crowded cafes. It also weighs 251.4 g, Noise’s page mentions no app, codecs or AUX input, and the spec sheet lists two different Bluetooth versions. Our link opens the Calm Beige colour.

boAt Rockerz Plus 450 ANC

boAt’s 2026 model claims up to 40dB hybrid ANC, up to 80 hours with ANC off and 57 hours with it on, a 10-minute ASAP Charge for up to 12 hours, Bluetooth 6.0 and a 40ms BEAST Mode for casual gaming. The earcups fold, and boAt lists a soft case and an AUX cable in the box, so it is a practical commuter and travel pick with a wired fallback. The limitations: boAt lists no weight, codecs, app, multipoint or transparency mode, the rating is only IPX4, and we found no independent measured review, so ANC strength is unverified. Do not confuse it with the older, plain Rockerz 450. Our link opens the Black Sabre colour.

boAt Nirvana 751 ANC

On sale in India since February 2022, the Nirvana 751 ANC lists hybrid ANC rated up to 33dB, a dedicated ANC and ambient button, up to 65 hours with ANC off and 54 hours with it on, about an hour for a full charge over USB Type-C, a wired AUX input and physical buttons. The trade-offs are significant, though. Geekman’s review rated the ANC as average, found the sound flat with boosted bass and distortion at around 70% volume, measured roughly 40 hours with ANC off and weighed the headphone at about 270 g. Bluetooth 5.0 and no app make this an older platform. Our link opens the Sterling Silver colour.

Non-ANC picks

The headphones below do not have active noise cancellation. Several mention ENC, which processes the microphone so callers hear you more clearly, but it does not reduce the noise you hear.

Sony WH-CH520

This is the lightest pick here at approx. 147 g. Sony rates it for up to 50 hours, with a 3-minute quick charge for up to 1.5 hours, multipoint for two devices, SBC and AAC codecs, DSEE and EQ in the Sony Sound Connect app. It suits students and work-from-home users who move between a laptop and a phone, and iPhone owners benefit from AAC support. What Hi-Fi? described balanced, broadly neutral sound with well-controlled bass. The limitations: it is an on-ear design, and Tom’s Guide noticed a slight ache after several hours. There is no ANC and no wired input at all, and Tom’s Guide found the microphone tinny at times.

Noise Airwave Max 4

Noise rates the Airwave Max 4 for up to 70 hours at 60% volume, with a 10-minute Instacharge for about 300 minutes, Bluetooth 5.4, dual pairing, a claimed 40ms low-latency mode and IPX5. It suits home, office and hostel listeners who want long battery life and easy device switching. Its AI ENC only helps on calls, and Noise’s FAQ confirms it does not mute outside sound. At 288 g it is heavier than the Max 5, Noise mentions no app or EQ, and no AUX cable is listed in the box. AudioPick.in described punchy, fun bass with slightly recessed mids.

boAt Rockerz Plus 550

The headline here is a claimed battery life of up to 100 hours from an 800mAh cell, paired with 50mm drivers, dual pairing, a 3.5mm AUX cable, a BEAST Mode claimed at 40ms and a spare pair of customisable earcups. It suits buyers who hate charging and want a large over-ear fit.

The limitations: a full charge takes about 2.5 hours with no fast-charge claim, there is no IP rating or codec detail, boAt’s pages disagree on Bluetooth 5.4 versus 5.3, and Croma lists the weight at about 245 g. We found no measured independent review, so the sound is unverified. Make sure the listing is not the old Rockerz 550 or the separate Rockerz Plus 550 ANC. Our link opens Black Psyche.

boAt Rockerz 480

The Rockerz 480 looks more like a gaming headset, with RGB LEDs and six light modes. boAt lists 40mm drivers, up to 60 hours of playback, Bluetooth 5.3, about 1.5 hours to charge and a BEAST Mode that Croma and Smartprix list at 40ms, while boAt gives no figure. An AUX cable and a silicone cover come in the box, which helps for PC or console use with a 3.5mm jack. The limitations: no ANC, no IP rating, no published weight or fast-charge figure, and boAt does not say whether the battery claim was measured with the lights on. Dual pairing appears only in some retail descriptions. Our link opens Black Sabre.

boAt Rockerz 460

The Rockerz 460 is the simplest everyday option here: up to 30 hours of rated playback, 40mm drivers, Bluetooth 5.2, dual pairing, ENx call-noise suppression, USB Type-C and a dedicated BEAST Mode button. boAt’s FAQ says it works with iPhone and Android for Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams calls, so it suits work-from-home users and students. The limitations: it has the shortest rated battery in this list, no ANC, no published latency figure and no water rating, and charging time differs across boAt’s own pages (about 1.3 hours in the spec list, 45 minutes in an FAQ). Our link opens Active Black.

Boult Q

The Boult Q’s Amazon listing claims up to 70 hours, 40mm drivers, a Zen ENC microphone, IPX5 and Type-C fast charging, and Boult’s FAQ says 10 minutes gives about 10 hours. The EQ button cycles through Pop, Bass, Rock and Vocal presets, and there is a gaming mode and a 3.5mm wired mode. The listing title does not claim ANC, and the manual describes no ANC control, so we have placed it with the non-ANC picks. Be aware that Boult’s own page conflicts on driver size, water rating and ANC wording, the mic and buttons stop working in wired mode, and no multipoint or weight is listed. Our link opens Black.

What to check before you buy

Best Wireless Headphones: buying checklist
Best Wireless Headphones: what to check before you buy, from this guide.
  • Exact model: several names are easy to mix up, such as Rockerz 450 versus Rockerz Plus 450 ANC, and Rockerz 550 versus Rockerz Plus 550 versus Rockerz Plus 550 ANC
  • Colour and variant: our links open one colour each, and other colours may be separate listings
  • App claims: some Amazon titles mention app support that the brand’s own page does not describe, so do not count on a custom EQ unless the listing confirms it
  • Codecs: only Sony publishes codec support (SBC and AAC) here, so do not expect LDAC or aptX from any of these
  • Warranty and service in India: boAt, Noise and Boult each state a 1-year warranty in our reviews, Noise asks for registration on the Max 4, and boAt’s extra 3-month extension applies only to eligible purchases on its own website or app
  • Box contents: check for an AUX cable, case or cover if you need them, and do not assume a charging adapter is included

Frequently asked questions

Is ANC worth it for Indian commutes?

Yes, if your commute is noisy and long. Budget hybrid ANC is best at steady, low-frequency sounds such as bus engines, train rumble and AC hum. It does much less against horns or nearby voices, and India Today Gaming found the Airwave Max 5’s ANC struggled on busy streets, so keep expectations realistic.

What is the difference between ANC and ENC?

ANC reduces the outside noise you hear. ENC only processes the microphone so the person on a call hears less background noise. The Noise Airwave Max 4, boAt Rockerz 460 and Boult Q have ENC-style call features but no ANC.

Which headphone here has the longest battery life?

On paper, the boAt Rockerz Plus 550 at up to 100 hours. Among ANC models, the Noise Airwave Max 5 and boAt Rockerz Plus 450 ANC both claim up to 80 hours, though the boAt drops to 57 hours with ANC on and Noise does not publish an ANC-on figure.

Can I use these headphones with a cable on a flight?

The boAt Rockerz Plus 450 ANC, Nirvana 751 ANC, Rockerz Plus 550, Rockerz 480 and Boult Q list AUX support. The Sony WH-CH520 has no wired input, and Noise does not mention one for the Airwave Max 4 or Max 5.

Does the Boult Q have noise cancellation?

Its Amazon listing title does not claim ANC. It lists a Zen ENC microphone for calls, and the user manual describes no ANC control.

Which is best for switching between a phone and a laptop?

The Sony WH-CH520 lists multipoint, and the Noise Airwave Max 5, Noise Airwave Max 4, boAt Rockerz Plus 550 and boAt Rockerz 460 list dual pairing.
