The LG 32LB650BPLA (sold on Amazon.in as the LG 80 cm (32 inches) LB650 AI Series HD Smart webOS VA LED TV, 2026) is a 32-inch HD Ready (1366 x 768) smart TV built around LG’s Alpha 5 AI Processor Gen9 and the new webOS 26 platform. It suits a bedroom, a kitchen, a small rental flat or a parent’s room where easy streaming, LG’s software and a compact size matter more than maximum sharpness. Our short verdict: a sensible, well-connected small TV, but if you sit close to the screen or care about detail, LG’s own Full HD sibling is the better pick.
This is the 2026 model, and it was in stock on Amazon.in when we checked on 17 October 2026. Like many 32-inch TVs it uses an HD Ready panel rather than Full HD, and we explain below what that means.
Please note: this article is based on LG’s official specification sheet, retailer and spec-database listings and other published information checked on 17 October 2026. We have not tested this TV hands-on, and at the time of writing we could not find independent long-term reviews of the 32LB650BPLA.

HD Ready, not Full HD: what that means at 32 inches
The most important number on this TV is its resolution. The 32LB650BPLA has a 1366 x 768 panel, often called HD Ready. That works out to roughly 1.05 million pixels. A Full HD (1920 x 1080) panel has about 2.07 million pixels, almost twice as many, on the same 32-inch screen.
In practical terms, the pixel density of a 32-inch HD Ready panel is about 49 pixels per inch, compared with about 69 pixels per inch for a 32-inch Full HD panel. From a typical distance of 2 to 3 metres, most people find the difference small, because the eye cannot resolve individual pixels that far away. Up close, the gap becomes easier to see: small text, app menus, cricket scorecards and subtitles look softer on an HD Ready screen.
Most streaming apps and set-top boxes send Full HD or 4K video, which this TV scales down to fit its panel. LG’s Resolution Upscaler, handled by the Alpha 5 Gen9 chip, works the other way too, cleaning up lower-quality sources. Neither adds detail the panel cannot show, so for monitor use or close seating, a Full HD set is safer.
LG itself sells a Full HD version of this TV, the LG 32LB651BPLA, which shares the same processor and audio output according to Smartprix’s listing.
Picture processing and HDR
The TV uses LG’s Alpha 5 AI Processor Gen9, which handles upscaling, picture tuning and the smart TV interface. LG’s spec sheet lists HDR10 and HLG support with Dynamic Tone Mapping, which LG markets as HDR10 Pro.
HDR support means the TV can accept and decode HDR video from Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube and similar services. On an affordable, compact LED panel, though, the brightness and contrast needed to show the full effect of HDR are limited. Dynamic Tone Mapping helps by adapting HDR content to what the panel can actually display, so highlights and shadows are not clipped as badly. Croma’s listing quotes a peak brightness of 220 nits, a figure we could not confirm on an LG page, so treat it as indicative only.
The Amazon title describes the panel as VA. VA panels usually offer deeper blacks than IPS panels when viewed head-on, which helps in dark rooms, but colours and contrast can fade when you watch from a wide angle. LG’s spec sheet we could access lists only the backlight type (direct LED), so we have not added the panel type to the table.
webOS 26 and AI features
Software is where this TV stands out from many budget 32-inch sets. The 32LB650BPLA runs webOS 26, LG’s 2026 smart TV platform. Croma’s listing for the Indian model mentions Multi AI Search with Google Gemini and Microsoft Copilot, an AI Chatbot, AI Concierge, AI Voice ID and AI Picture, along with LG Channels and a full web browser.
Popular apps listed for the TV include Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube, Apple TV and Disney+. LG’s US spec sheet for the twin model also lists Google Cast built-in, Apple AirPlay support, LG ThinQ app control and LG Shield security, and says software updates are offered for up to five years. Confirm on LG India’s page or the Amazon listing which of these apply to the Indian version.
One detail to watch is voice control. LG’s spec sheet marks voice features such as AI Voice ID as requiring the AI Magic Remote. Croma’s box contents mention a Magic Remote, but LG’s US sheet lists a standard remote in the box. Confirm which remote is included, because the AI search features are far less convenient without voice.
With 1.5 GB RAM and 8 GB storage according to Smartprix, there is room for the usual streaming apps, but not for a large app library.
Sound: 10 W with AI Sound Pro
The TV has a 2.0-channel, 10 W speaker system with two down-firing 5 W speakers. LG’s AI Sound Pro feature creates a virtual 9.1.2 up-mix, which is processing that tries to widen the sound, rather than real surround speakers. LG’s spec sheet also lists Clear Voice Pro with automatic volume levelling, which can help dialogue in news and TV serials.
Ten watts is modest, and some rivals list 20 W. For a bedroom it should be fine, but for a larger room a soundbar makes sense. The good news is that HDMI 2 supports eARC, and the TV has Bluetooth 5.3, so connecting a soundbar or wireless speaker is straightforward.
Ports, connectivity and gaming
The 32LB650BPLA has two HDMI ports (one with eARC), one USB port, Ethernet, Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.3. Two HDMI ports cover a set-top box plus a streaming stick or console, but adding an HDMI soundbar uses up both. Croma’s overview text mentions three HDMI ports, but its own specification section and other listings say two, so we have gone with two.
For gaming, LG lists Game Optimizer and HGiG. B&H’s listing for the US twin says Variable Refresh Rate and Auto Low Latency Mode are not supported, and the panel is 60 Hz. That is fine for casual console gaming, but competitive gamers should look elsewhere.
Who should buy it

- Buyers who want LG’s webOS software and AI search features in a small, wall-friendly TV
- Bedrooms, kitchens and guest rooms where you sit two metres or more from the screen
- People who stream Netflix, Prime Video and YouTube and want built-in Wi-Fi 5 plus an Ethernet port
- Anyone planning to add a soundbar later, thanks to eARC and Bluetooth
Who should skip it
- People who will use the TV as a computer monitor or sit very close, where Full HD is noticeably sharper
- Buyers who want louder built-in sound, since several rivals list 20 W speakers
- Gamers who need VRR, ALLM or higher refresh rates
- Homes with many HDMI devices, as there are only two HDMI ports
Alternatives worth comparing
LG 32LB651BPLA: the Full HD (1920 x 1080) sibling of this TV. Smartprix lists the same Alpha 5 AI Processor Gen9, 10 W 2.0-channel sound, two HDMI ports with eARC, Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.3. If you want LG software with a sharper picture, this is the most direct upgrade.
Xiaomi A Pro 2025 32-inch: an HD Ready QLED TV running Google TV. Smartprix lists 20 W speakers with Dolby Audio and DTS:X, two HDMI and two USB ports, 1 GB RAM and 8 GB storage. It suits buyers who prefer Google TV and louder sound, but has less RAM than the LG.
Samsung UA32H4550FUXXL (2025): a 32-inch HD smart TV on Samsung’s Tizen platform. Reliance Digital lists 20 W speaker output, HDR support, two HDMI ports and one USB port. Consider it if you prefer Samsung’s interface.
If your room can take a bigger screen, our Xiaomi FX Pro 43 QLED TV review covers a larger step-up option.
What to check before you order

- Warranty: Smartprix lists one year, and Croma lists 12 months onsite on the TV. Check the warranty terms on the listing and register with LG India
