The Ambrane RAAP M20 is a single-port 20W USB Type-C wall charger with Power Delivery (PD). It is a sensible budget replacement charger for iPhones from the iPhone 8 onwards and for Android phones that fast-charge over standard USB-C PD at around 20W. It is not the right pick if your phone supports much faster charging, or if you need to charge two devices at once.
The Amazon.in listing linked here is the black charger sold with a cable (model RAAP M20-WC, listed as “20W Charger with Type C Cable”). This guide is based on Ambrane’s official RAAP M20 product page and that Amazon.in listing, both checked on 17 October 2026. It is not a hands-on review. We have not tested this charger, so there are no measured charging times or temperatures here.

Is 20W enough for your phone?
A charger can only deliver its fastest speed when it speaks the same “language” as your phone. USB Power Delivery is the open standard used by iPhones and by most recent Android phones, and the RAAP M20 supports it. When you connect a phone, the charger and phone negotiate a voltage and current, and the phone takes only what it can handle. A 20W PD charger will not harm a phone that charges more slowly, and it will not speed up a phone beyond its own limit.
iPhone owners
Apple has sold iPhones without a charger in the box for several years, which is why many people shop for a 20W USB-C charger. iPhones from the iPhone 8 onwards support USB-C PD fast charging, so a 20W PD charger is a common match. Newer iPhone models can accept more than 20W, so the RAAP M20 will charge them well but not at their highest possible speed. For Lightning iPhones, up to the iPhone 14 series, you need a USB-C to Lightning cable. For iPhone 15 and later, you need a USB-C to USB-C cable.
Samsung owners
Samsung’s “Super Fast Charging” at 25W and above uses PD with PPS (Programmable Power Supply). Ambrane does not mention PPS for the RAAP M20, so a Samsung phone that supports 25W or more is likely to charge at a lower standard speed. It will still charge, just not at the fastest speed the phone shows on screen. If you are deciding between charger wattages for a Samsung phone, our Samsung 15W Travel Adapter review explains when 15W, 25W or 45W makes sense.
Other Android phones
Phones from brands such as OnePlus, OPPO, realme, vivo, iQOO and Xiaomi often advertise very high wattages, but those speeds usually need the brand’s own charger and cable. On a generic 20W PD charger, these phones typically fall back to a standard, slower rate. The RAAP M20 is fine as a spare or travel charger for them, but not as a replacement for the original fast charger.
Earbuds, watches and small gadgets
Small devices draw very little power, so a 20W PD charger is more than enough for them, provided you have a USB-C cable that fits. PD chargers start at a safe 5V and only raise the voltage when a device asks for it.
About the included cable
The Amazon.in listing says the box contains one charger and one cable, and the listing’s model name refers to a “Type C Cable.” Ambrane’s official RAAP M20 page does not describe the cable at all. Because the charger has a USB-C output, the cable must have a USB-C plug on the charger end, but the listing does not clearly say whether the other end is USB-C or Lightning.
That detail matters. If you own a Lightning iPhone (iPhone 14 or earlier), check the listing images and the “What’s in the box” section before ordering, and be prepared to buy a USB-C to Lightning cable separately. If your phone has USB-C, a USB-C to USB-C cable is what you want.
Cable quality also affects speed. For 20W, any decent USB-C cable rated for 3A will do. A damaged or very cheap cable can limit charging speed or cause the connection to drop in and out, which people often blame on the charger.
Safety and certification
Ambrane says the RAAP M20 has multi-layer chipset protection against short circuits, over-voltage and more, and its product page also mentions protection against overcharging and overheating. These are standard protections for a reputable phone charger, and they are the main reason to avoid unbranded roadside chargers.
In India, wall adapters must be registered with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) under the compulsory registration scheme. Ambrane’s RAAP M20 page does not mention BIS, so when the charger arrives, look for the BIS standard mark and the “R-” registration number printed on the body. The BIS Care app lets you check a registration number if you want extra confidence.
One oddity: the Amazon.in listing gives an input voltage of “5 Volts,” which describes a charger’s output, not its mains input. Check the rating label on the charger itself for the correct input range before using it on unusual power supplies or abroad.
Reading the marketing claims carefully
Ambrane’s product page says the RAAP M20 can charge “up to 50%” of a battery in 30 minutes and is “4x faster” than traditional chargers. Neither claim names a phone, battery size or test method. Charging speed depends far more on your phone’s own limits, its battery size and its temperature than on the charger alone, so treat those numbers as best-case marketing rather than a promise for your device.
“BoostedSpeed” is Ambrane’s own name for its fast charging. The practical standard underneath, as Ambrane’s page states, is USB Power Delivery at 20W.
Warranty and service
Ambrane’s page lists a 180-day warranty against manufacturing defects (shown as 6 months), and the Amazon.in listing also says 6 months. That is shorter than the 1-year warranty offered on some rival chargers, so keep your invoice. Ambrane’s page notes that warranty claims require video proof of the unboxing and handover. Record yourself opening the box, even for a small purchase like this, to keep a claim straightforward. The extra 30-day extension mentioned on Ambrane’s site applies to purchases made on its own website, not on Amazon.in.
Who should buy it, and who should skip it

Buy it if you need an affordable, compact 20W USB-C PD charger for an iPhone or a PD-compatible Android phone, or a spare for the office or a travel bag.
Skip it if your phone supports 25W or faster charging and you want that speed, if you need USB-A and USB-C ports in one charger, if you want to charge a laptop, or if a 1-year warranty matters more to you than price.

Alternatives worth comparing
- Ambrane Charge 20: also 20W with a single Type-C output and Power Delivery, but Ambrane lists it as a GaN charger with BIS safety approval. It is available in Black and White, and its country of origin is listed as Vietnam
- Ambrane RAAP M33: Ambrane lists a 33W Type-C output and an 18W USB-A output, Quick Charge and Power Delivery support, and BIS certification. Choose it if you want two ports or higher wattage
- Apple 20W USB-C Power Adapter: Apple’s own 20W charger with a USB-C port, the reference option for iPhone owners who prefer first-party accessories

Setup and care tips
- Plug the charger fully into a switched socket. A loose fit in worn sockets causes heat and intermittent charging
- Use a cable rated for at least 3A for full 20W PD speed
- Do not cover the charger with pillows or bedding while charging overnight
- Unplug it from the wall when not in use for long periods
- If the charger smells of burning, makes noise or gets unusually hot, stop using it and contact Ambrane support
Frequently asked questions

Does the Ambrane RAAP M20 support fast charging on iPhone?
Yes, in principle. It supports USB Power Delivery at 20W, which iPhones from the iPhone 8 onwards use for fast charging. You need a USB-C to Lightning cable for Lightning iPhones, or a USB-C to USB-C cable for iPhone 15 and later.
Is a cable included?
According to the Amazon.in listing for the RAAP M20-WC, the box includes one charger and one cable. The listing does not clearly state the cable’s second connector, so confirm it on the listing before ordering.
Can it charge a Samsung phone at Super Fast Charging speed?
Probably not. Samsung’s 25W Super Fast Charging uses PPS, which Ambrane does not mention for this charger. Expect standard charging speeds instead.
Can it charge a laptop?
Only very low-power USB-C devices. Most laptops need 30W to 65W or more, so a 20W charger is not a practical laptop charger.
What is the warranty?
180 days (6 months) against manufacturing defects, according to Ambrane’s official page and the Amazon.in listing.
Verdict
The Ambrane RAAP M20 offers the essentials of a budget phone charger: 20W USB-C PD, a compact single-port body and listed safety protections, from a brand that makes chargers in India. Its limits are the short warranty, missing PPS for Samsung’s faster modes and some ambiguity about the included cable. If 20W PD matches your phone, see the Ambrane RAAP M20 (Black, with cable) on Amazon.in and confirm the cable type before ordering.
