The realme GT 7T is a performance-first Android phone that pairs MediaTek’s Dimensity 8400-MAX chipset with a 7,000mAh battery and 120W SUPERVOOC charging, and realme still includes the 120W charger in the box. For buyers in India who want long battery life, quick top-ups and smooth gaming without paying flagship money, it is one of the stronger choices in its class. If low-light photos or a zoom camera matter most to you, look elsewhere.
This review covers the configuration our Amazon.in link opened on 17 October 2026: the realme GT 7T in IceSense Blue with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. Amazon sometimes switches the default colour or memory option, so confirm the exact variant on the listing before you pay.
We have not tested this phone ourselves. This article is based on realme India’s official specifications (checked 17 October 2026) and on published reviews and lab tests, which are named wherever they are used.

Battery and charging: the headline feature
realme rates the battery at 7,000mAh typical and 6,850mAh minimum, made of two cells and using a silicon-anode design with about 10% silicon content. That chemistry is how the company fits so much capacity into an 8.25mm body. realme also says the battery has a TÜV Rheinland 5-Star Battery Certification.
What matters in daily use is endurance. Smartprix’s review reported that the phone lasted nearly two days on a full charge and lost about 18% during a three-hour loop of high-quality YouTube playback. In MySmartPrice’s lab test, it recorded 19 hours 7 minutes in the PCMark battery test at 50% brightness. Your own result will depend on usage, but both point to strong stamina.
realme claims 0 to 50% in 15 minutes and a full charge in 42 minutes with the bundled 120W adapter. Smartprix saw about 40 minutes from 20% to 100%, while MySmartPrice measured 51 minutes from 0 to 100%. realme also offers bypass charging, which powers the phone directly from the adapter while you game plugged in, and says this reduces heat and battery wear.
Performance, cooling and gaming
The Dimensity 8400-MAX is a 4nm chip with an all-big-core layout (one core at up to 3.25GHz, three at 3.0GHz and four at 2.1GHz, according to GSMArena’s hands-on). It works with LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.0 storage, which helps with app launches, game loading and copying large video files.
realme claims an AnTuTu score above 1.78 million. MySmartPrice’s run recorded 1,722,115, with BGMI at 120fps on Smooth graphics and Call of Duty Mobile at 60fps on Very High. Its CPU throttling test gave 63%, so peak speed does drop under long, heavy loads, as on most phones in this segment.
For cooling, realme uses a 7,700mm² vapour chamber that it says covers about 65% of the body, plus a graphene layer in the back cover. Smartprix’s reviewer wrote that the phone seldom overheated, even in extended gaming, and realme says over 20 popular games support 120fps modes.
One caveat: GSMArena notes that the realme GT 7 uses the Dimensity 9400e with a larger GPU, so it has more headroom for the most demanding games at maximum settings. For BGMI, CoD Mobile and multitasking, the GT 7T is more than capable.
Display: big, sharp and very bright on paper
The 6.8-inch screen runs at 1.5K (2800 x 1280) with up to 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, Dolby Vision and 100% P3 colour. realme quotes 6,000 nits, but its footnote says this is a local peak under 100,000 lux in the lab, so it describes a small area in extreme light rather than full-screen brightness. DC dimming and 2160Hz PWM dimming should help people who are sensitive to flicker, and realme lists rain-water touch support for monsoon use.
The panel is not LTPO. GSMArena’s hands-on suggested this could cost a little battery life, because LTPO screens can drop to very low refresh rates for static content. Smartprix called the display satisfactory with ultra-slim bezels, though its dynamic range falls short of high-end phones.
Cameras: good in daylight, ordinary at night
On the back is a 50MP Sony IMX896 main camera (1/1.56-inch sensor, f/1.8, OIS) and an 8MP ultra-wide. The front camera is a 32MP Sony IMX615. Both the main and front cameras can record 4K at 60fps, which is helpful for vlogging.
According to Smartprix, the main camera does well in daylight with accurate colours, though dynamic range falls slightly short of premium phones. The ultra-wide kept colours close to the main camera, and indoor selfies were highly detailed. Average low-light performance is the review’s main complaint. MySmartPrice gave the main camera 7.5/10 and the ultra-wide 6.5/10, noting that low-light results need more optimisation.
There is no telephoto lens. GSMArena notes that the GT 7 adds a 50MP 2x telephoto, a meaningful difference if you shoot portraits or zoomed photos often.
Design, durability and the IceSense Blue finish
The IceSense Blue and IceSense Black versions use realme’s graphene-infused fiberglass back with a grippy coating realme compares to gaming mice. Racing Yellow uses vegan leather and is slightly heavier and thicker. GSMArena’s hands-on describes a plastic middle frame with a brushed-metal look. At about 202g, the blue model is not light, but that is reasonable for a 7,000mAh phone.
realme lists both IP68 and IP69, tested in still fresh water at 2 metres for 30 minutes, plus ArmorShell Glass and a reinforced internal structure. realme warns that resistance can reduce with daily wear and that you should not charge the phone while wet.
Software and AI features
The GT 7T launched with realme UI 6.0 based on Android 15. realme lists AI Planner (double-tap the back to turn on-screen details into a schedule), AI Eraser, AI Glare Remover and an AI Gaming Coach, along with Google’s Circle to Search and Gemini. Smartprix noted some pre-installed apps, most of which can be uninstalled.
The update commitment is unclear. Smartprix’s review states four Android updates and six years of security patches, while launch reports from MobiGyaan and PhoneBunch mention three Android updates and four years of security updates. realme’s India product page does not state it, so confirm with realme if long-term updates matter to you.

Alternatives worth comparing
realme GT 7: According to GSMArena, it moves up to the Dimensity 9400e, adds a 50MP 2x telephoto camera, Wi-Fi 7 and an LTPO display, while keeping the 7,000mAh battery and 120W charging.
POCO X7 Pro: GSMArena lists the Dimensity 8400 Ultra, a 6,550mAh battery on the India model, 90W charging, IP68 and IP69 ratings, stereo speakers and a 50MP f/1.5 main camera with OIS.
POCO X8 Pro: 91mobiles lists its India launch as 17 March 2026. POCO’s official specs list the newer Dimensity 8500-Ultra, a 6,500mAh battery, 100W charging and a 50MP Sony IMX882 main camera with OIS.
If your budget is much lower and you value long software support over raw speed, our Samsung Galaxy A26 5G review covers a very different kind of phone.
What to check before you order

- Variant: our link opened the IceSense Blue 12GB+256GB model. Confirm colour, RAM and storage on the listing.
- Storage: there is no memory card slot, so consider 512GB if you shoot a lot of 4K video.

- Seller and warranty: check the seller and warranty details on the listing, and keep the invoice for realme service centres in India.
- Water damage: an IP rating does not automatically mean liquid damage is covered, so read the warranty terms.
- 5G: realme lists n28 and n78, the main 5G bands used by Indian operators.
- Charging: the full 120W speed needs realme’s own adapter and cable.

Bottom line
The realme GT 7T makes the most sense for people who use their phone hard and hate charging anxiety. A 7,000mAh battery, a bundled 120W charger, a fast chip with UFS 4.0 storage and IP68/IP69 protection make a strong package. The weak spots are average low-light photos, no zoom camera, a non-LTPO screen and an update policy you should confirm. If those do not bother you, it deserves a place on your shortlist.
