The Amkette XS Series Flow is a rechargeable ergonomic mouse that can connect to up to four devices: one over a 2.4GHz USB receiver and three over Bluetooth. It adds a thumb-operated side scroll wheel, eight buttons, five DPI steps up to 3,200, silent Kailh switches and RGB underglow. It makes most sense for people who switch between a laptop, a desktop and a tablet during the day, and who spend time in wide spreadsheets or timelines where horizontal scrolling helps.
This article is based on Amkette’s official product page and the Amazon.in listing, both checked on 17 October 2026, and not on hands-on testing. We did not find independent reviews to cite, so we make no claims about real-world battery life, tracking or comfort. The two sources disagree on a few points, including warranty, and we flag each one.
The affiliate link points to the Black XS Flow (listed model “XS Flow – Black”). Amkette also sells a different model, the XS Series Flow 2, with a larger battery and higher DPI, so make sure the listing says Flow and not Flow 2 if this is the one you want.
Verdict in brief
- Best for: multi-device workers, Excel and editing users who scroll sideways, and shared offices where loud clicks are a problem
- Skip if: you are left-handed, want a gaming mouse, or need a published battery-life figure before buying
- Key strengths (per Amkette): 2.4GHz plus three Bluetooth channels, side scroll wheel, 8 buttons, 400 to 3,200 DPI, silent Kailh switches rated for 5 million clicks, 600mAh battery with USB Type-C charging, battery level shown on the connected device
- Key limitations: no stated battery life, Bluetooth version not given, conflicting warranty information, and the listing has some clearly wrong technical fields

Four devices, one button
The XS Flow’s main selling point is connectivity. Amkette’s FAQ says it can connect to four devices: one through the 2.4GHz dongle and three through Bluetooth. You switch between them with a dedicated button, and a small indicator shows green for 2.4GHz and blue for Bluetooth.
In practice, this suits a common Indian office setup: a work laptop on the Amkette XS, a personal laptop on Bluetooth channel one, and a phone or tablet on channel two. The 2.4GHz receiver is the better choice for a desktop PC that may not have Bluetooth, while Bluetooth saves a USB port on laptops that have few. Amkette does not state the Bluetooth version, so if your laptop has older Bluetooth hardware, pairing stability is something to watch.
A dedicated switch button is not the same as software-based cursor flow across computers. The XS Flow, going by its product page, simply changes which device it is talking to when you press the button. That is enough for most people, but it will not let you drag a file from one computer to another.
Side scroll and the eight buttons
The thumb-operated horizontal scroll wheel is what separates this Amkette XS from most budget wireless mice. If you work in wide Excel sheets, Google Sheets, video timelines or design canvases, scrolling sideways with your thumb is quicker than dragging a scrollbar or holding Shift while you scroll. If you mostly browse and type documents, you may rarely use it.
Amkette lists eight buttons: left, right, forward, back, DPI, Show Desktop, the scroll-wheel click and a Quick Access button. Forward and back are useful in browsers and file explorers. A Show Desktop button, as the name suggests, is meant to clear open windows to reveal the desktop. Amkette’s page does not explain what the Quick Access button does, and it does not mention customisation software, so do not assume the buttons can be remapped.
Sensor, DPI and precision
The XS Flow uses an optical sensor that Amkette names as the S201B, with five DPI steps: 400, 800, 1,600 (the default), 2,400 and 3,200. You cycle through them with the DPI button. Higher DPI moves the cursor further for the same hand movement, which helps on large or multiple monitors. Lower DPI gives finer control for photo editing or precise selection.
For context, 3,200 DPI is plenty for office work, but this is a productivity mouse, not a gaming mouse. Amkette does not publish a polling rate for this model, and nothing on its page targets gamers.
Silent Kailh switches
Amkette’s FAQ says all buttons use silent Kailh switches, and both sources quote a 5 million click rating. Kailh is a well-known switch maker. Silent switches mainly matter in shared spaces: open offices, libraries, or a room where someone else is sleeping. If you like a crisp, audible click, a silent mouse can feel muted, so it is partly a matter of taste.
Battery and charging
According to Amkette, the mouse has a pre-installed 600mAh lithium-ion battery and charges over USB Type-C, with a 1 m cable in the box. The battery level is shown on your connected computer or phone, which helps you avoid surprise shutdowns.
What neither Amkette nor the listing gives is a battery-life figure or a charging time. RGB lighting uses some power too, so if long life between charges matters most, keep that in mind. The Amazon.in listing also has a technical field that says the mouse needs a 9V battery. That is clearly a listing error; Amkette’s page describes a built-in rechargeable battery.
RGB lighting
The XS Flow has RGB underglow. The Amazon.in listing says it has seven lighting modes, and Amkette’s page says you change modes by long-pressing the DPI button. Amkette does not state how many modes there are or whether the lighting can be turned off completely, so check the quick start guide if an always-on glow would bother you.
Shape, size and handedness
Amkette lists the mouse at 123 x 84 x 51 mm and 112 g. That is a fairly full-sized mouse, better suited to a palm grip on a desk than to slipping into a small pouch. The Amazon.in listing marks it as right-handed, and the side scroll wheel is placed for a right thumb, so left-handed users should look elsewhere. Amkette describes it as ergonomic with natural hand curves, but comfort depends on hand size, so compare the dimensions with your current mouse.

Who should buy it, and who should not

- Buy it if: you move between two or more computers or a laptop and tablet every day
- Buy it if: you scroll sideways a lot in spreadsheets, timelines or large documents
- Buy it if: quiet clicks matter in your office or home
- Skip it if: you are left-handed or want a compact travel mouse
- Skip it if: you want a gaming mouse with published polling rates and software
- Skip it if: you need a confirmed warranty term or battery-life figure before buying
Alternatives worth comparing
- Amkette XS Series Flow 2: Amkette’s newer sibling. Its official page lists 2.4GHz, three Bluetooth channels and a wired Type-C mode, DPI up to 8,000, an 800mAh battery rated for up to 40 hours and a charge time under 2 hours. The page does not mention RGB.
- Amkette XS Series Natural: a vertical mouse from the same range. Its Amazon.in listing describes a vertical grip, 2.4GHz plus two Bluetooth channels, 7 silent Kailh buttons, a side scroll wheel, 3,200 DPI and an 800mAh battery.
- Portronics Toad One: a simpler rechargeable option. Its Amazon.in listing describes 2.4GHz plus Bluetooth 5.3, three devices, 6 buttons, RGB lights, up to 1,600 DPI and up to 9 days of battery.
Before you buy: checklist

- Confirm the listing says XS Series Flow in Black, model XS Flow – Black, and not Flow 2
- Check the box contents on the listing: the listing includes a 2.4GHz receiver, which you need for non-Bluetooth PCs
- Ask the seller or Amkette about warranty, because the listing title says 2 years and the technical details say 1 year
- Make sure your devices support Bluetooth if you plan to use the three Bluetooth channels
- Keep a USB-C cable and charger handy, since this mouse has no replaceable batteries
See the Black Amkette XS Series Flow on Amazon.in and confirm the model name before checkout.

Verdict
The Amkette XS Series Flow offers a feature set that is useful for productivity on paper: four-device switching, a thumb side scroll, eight buttons, silent Kailh switches and USB-C charging, all confirmed on Amkette’s own page. Its weak points are missing battery-life and Bluetooth version figures, a right-hand-only shape, and confusing warranty information on the listing.
