The boAt Airdopes Ultra Plus are budget true wireless earbuds built around long battery life: boAt claims up to 50 hours of total playback with the case, a 5-minute ASAP Charge for 60 minutes of listening, quad mics with ENx call noise reduction, a 50ms BEAST Mode for games and IPX5 sweat resistance. They suit commuters, students and casual gamers who want long battery life and clear calls on a tight budget. They do not have active noise cancellation, and boAt’s own spec sheet lists 10mm drivers, Bluetooth 5.3 and no aptX support.
This article covers the Sporty Blue colour sold on Amazon.in (ASIN B0D31QS9RH). It is based on boAt’s official product and support pages and the Amazon.in listing, all checked on 17 October 2026. It is not a hands-on review, and we have not tested these earbuds ourselves.

Official specs vs the Amazon.in listing
The two sources mostly agree, but a few points are worth knowing. The Amazon.in listing describes the noise control as “Passive Noise Cancellation” and calls the earbuds “Water Resistant” without giving a rating. boAt’s own product page fills those gaps: the rating is IPX5, and the only electronic noise reduction is ENx, which works on your voice during calls rather than on what you hear. boAt’s support FAQ states plainly that there is no ANC.
The listing also gives a 16 ohm impedance and a 45-gram weight, neither of which appears on boAt’s page. The weight figure does not say whether it includes the case, so treat it as approximate. The listing’s “Number of Items: 4” field does not match the box contents it describes, so ignore it.
Battery and charging: the main reason to buy
The 50-hour figure is the total you get from the earbuds plus repeated top-ups from the case, not from a single session. boAt’s support page lists 40mAh cells in each earbud and a 650mAh case, but it does not give a single-charge earbud runtime, so we cannot say how long one continuous session lasts. Real-world battery life also depends on volume, the content you play and whether BEAST Mode is on.
ASAP Charge is more useful day-to-day than the headline number. According to boAt, 5 minutes on the charger gives about 60 minutes of playback, which is enough for a commute if you forget to charge overnight. A full charge takes around 30 minutes for the earbuds and up to 1.5 hours for the case, over USB Type-C. The listing includes a charging cable but no adapter, so you will use an existing phone charger.
Calls: four mics with ENx
Each earbud has two mics, according to boAt’s support FAQ, for four in total. ENx is boAt’s name for environmental noise reduction during calls: it tries to separate your voice from background sounds such as traffic or office chatter before sending it to the other person. It does not reduce noise in your own ears.
boAt makes no measurable claim about call quality, and we have not found an independent test of this model, so we cannot rate it. If calls are your priority, check recent buyer feedback on the listing for your typical environment.
Sound, gaming and controls
The earbuds use 10mm drivers with what boAt calls “boAt Signature Sound”, a label it uses across its range. The Amazon.in listing does not give the driver size; boAt’s official pages do. There is no app or EQ mentioned on the official page, so you will rely on your phone’s built-in equaliser if you want to adjust the tuning.
BEAST Mode lowers latency to 50ms, according to boAt. That helps sound line up better with on-screen action in mobile games and videos. boAt’s own FAQ says it is aimed at casual gaming rather than professional use, which is a fair way to set expectations.
Controls are touch-based (boAt calls them CTC). According to boAt’s support page:
- Single tap: answer calls, play or pause
- Double tap: end or reject calls
- Double tap left earbud: previous track, double tap right earbud: next track
- Long press left earbud for 3 seconds: Google Assistant or Siri
- Volume: adjusted only from the connected phone or device
The lack of on-bud volume control is a small but real limitation if you often listen with your phone in a bag.
Pairing and reset, in brief
boAt’s Insta Wake N’ Pair (IWP) feature is designed to reconnect previously paired earbuds as soon as you open the case, as long as Bluetooth is on. For first-time pairing, search for “Airdopes Ultra Plus” in your phone’s Bluetooth menu. If you ever need to reset them, boAt’s support page says to forget the device on your phone, place the earbuds in the case, hold the case’s reset button for 10 seconds until the LEDs flash, close the lid, wait 5 seconds and then take them out.
Who should buy the Airdopes Ultra Plus

Before you order: a short checklist

- Colour: our link is for the Sporty Blue version. Midnight Black, Active Black and Olive Slate are separate listings, so check the colour shown before buying.
- Seller and warranty: the Amazon.in listing states a 1-year warranty from the date of purchase. boAt’s site mentions an extra 3 months only for purchases made on boAt’s own website or app, so do not expect that extension on Amazon.
- Box contents: the listing mentions earbuds, a charging cable and a user manual. No charger is listed.
- Phone compatibility: the earbuds use standard Bluetooth 5.3 and pair with Android phones and iPhones (boAt’s controls mention both Google Assistant and Siri). boAt’s FAQ says there is no aptX support, and the official page lists no other premium codec.
- Invoice: keep it for warranty claims, and register the product with boAt if prompted.
If it ticks your boxes, see the Airdopes Ultra Plus in Sporty Blue on Amazon.in.
