The boAt Airdopes Prime 513 ANC is a battery-focused pair of ANC earbuds: boAt’s official product page lists up to 32dB active noise cancellation, 13mm drivers, quad mics with AI-ENx, Bluetooth 6.0, multipoint pairing and up to 65 hours of total playback with the charging case. It is aimed at people who want noise cancellation and very long battery life more than they want the strongest ANC on the market.

Our short verdict: it is a sensible pick for commuters and students who charge rarely and switch between a phone and a laptop, but its 32dB ANC rating is modest, and buyers who mainly want deep silence on flights or noisy buses should look higher up boAt’s Prime range.

This explainer is based on boAt’s official India product page and the Amazon.in listing, both checked on 17 October 2026. We have not tested the boAt Airdopes Prime 513 ANC ourselves, and we could not find an independent review to cite, so treat performance points as manufacturer claims.

Quick verdict

  • Best for: long commutes, travel and anyone who forgets to charge, thanks to the 65-hour total playback claim
  • Skip if: strong ANC is your top priority, or you need a published IP rating for workouts
  • Strengths: 65 hours total playback, 13mm drivers, quad mics with AI-ENx, Bluetooth 6.0, multipoint, 50ms BEAST Mode, ear tips and a silicone cover in the box (per boAt)
  • Limitations: ANC rated at only up to 32dB, no stated codec support or IP rating, and boAt’s own page gives two different warranty statements

Specifications at a glance

The variant on our Amazon link is Ivory Glow (model number PP0043 on the listing). boAt’s official page also lists Carbon Black, which is a separate listing choice, so check the colour before you order.

Battery life is the headline feature

boAt quotes up to 65 hours of total playback, which is the combined runtime of the boAt Airdopes Prime 513 ANC plus the recharges stored in the case. That is noticeably more than the 50 hours boAt lists for its Prime 701 ANC. On paper, someone listening for two to three hours a day could go about three weeks between case charges, though real results depend on volume, ANC use and call time.

What boAt does not publish is the runtime of the earbuds on a single charge, or how much the total falls with ANC switched on. ANC needs constant processing, so it always draws extra power. If you plan to keep ANC on all day, expect the real figure to sit below the headline number.

Charging is straightforward. boAt’s page lists around 40 minutes to charge the earbuds and 1.5 hours for the case, and the Amazon.in listing adds an ASAP Charge claim of 10 minutes for up to 150 minutes of playback. Neither source mentions wireless charging, so plan on using the Type-C cable that boAt says comes in the box.

How much ANC does 32dB really give you?

Active noise cancellation works best on steady, low-pitched sounds: engine hum, fans, the drone inside a metro coach. A rating like “up to 32dB” describes the peak reduction at the frequency where cancellation is strongest, so it overstates how much quieter everything will sound. Talking, horns and clattering are harder to cancel on any earbud.

Within boAt’s own range, the Prime 513’s 32dB figure is clearly a step below the up to 46dB hybrid ANC listed for the Prime 701 ANC. Neither the official page nor the listing describes the 513’s ANC as hybrid, so we have not called it that. In practical terms, expect a useful reduction in background rumble on daily commutes rather than near-silence.

Fit decides a lot here. A tight seal blocks higher-frequency sound passively and helps the ANC do its job. boAt says two extra pairs of ear tips are included, so try each size before deciding how well the noise cancellation works for you.

Sound and calls

Each earbud uses a 13mm dynamic driver tuned to boAt Signature Sound, which the brand pitches as bass-forward with clear detail. A 13mm driver is large for an earbud, and larger drivers are often used to deliver fuller bass. Whether that bass stays controlled depends on tuning we could not verify independently. The listing does not name any codecs beyond standard Bluetooth, so do not expect LDAC-style high-resolution playback.

For calls, boAt lists four microphones with its AI-ENx noise reduction, designed to pick out your voice and suppress traffic and crowd noise. More microphones help software separate speech from background noise, which matters if you take calls on a bike, in a market or near a window. As with any earbuds, wind remains the toughest test.

Everyday convenience features

Multipoint keeps the earbuds connected to two devices at once, such as a laptop for meetings and a phone for calls, so you do not have to disconnect and re-pair every time you switch.

Google Fast Pair, mentioned on the Amazon.in listing, shows a pop-up on compatible Android phones the first time you open the case, which makes setup quicker. iPhone users pair through the normal Bluetooth menu.

BEAST Mode is boAt’s low-latency gaming mode, rated at 50ms on the official page. That is useful for casual mobile games where you want gunshots and footsteps to match the screen, though actual latency also depends on your phone.

The boAt Hearables app, according to the listing, lets you change settings and personalise the earbuds. Use it to check for firmware updates soon after pairing.

Warranty and box contents: read this before ordering

boAt’s product page says purchases made on or after 15 April 2025 get a 12-month standard warranty plus a 3-month extended warranty that requires a valid serial number, giving 15 months in total. The FAQ on the same page says true wireless earphones carry a 1-year warranty, and the Amazon.in listing also states 1 year from the date of purchase. Because these statements differ, assume 12 months as the guaranteed minimum and confirm any extension with boAt support using your invoice and serial number.

According to boAt, the box includes the earbuds in their case, a Type-C cable, a user guide, two extra pairs of ear tips and a silicone cover that matches the colour you order. The Amazon.in listing’s box contents line reads “Additional Earbuds, Cable, TWS Earbuds, User Manual” and does not mention the silicone cover, so check what arrives.

Alternatives to compare

boAt Airdopes Prime 701 ANC: boAt’s official page lists up to 46dB hybrid ANC, 10mm drivers, up to 50 hours total playback, Bluetooth 5.2, multipoint, boAt Spatial Audio, 60ms BEAST Mode and an IPX5 rating. Choose it over the 513 if stronger ANC and a stated water-resistance rating matter more than battery life.

boAt Airdopes Prime 702 ANC: a 2026 model whose Amazon.in listing claims up to about 48dB hybrid ANC, spatial audio, 12mm drivers, six mics, Bluetooth 6.0, multipoint and 50 hours of total playback. We could not find an official boAt spec page for it on 17 October 2026, so those numbers are seller claims.

Frequently asked questions

How long does the boAt Airdopes Prime 513 ANC battery last?

boAt claims up to 65 hours of total playback with the charging case. Single-charge earbud runtime and runtime with ANC on are not published.

Does the Prime 513 ANC support connecting two devices?

Yes. boAt’s official page says it supports multipoint, so it can connect to two devices, such as a phone and a laptop, at the same time.

Is the boAt Airdopes Prime 513 ANC waterproof?

The Amazon.in listing describes it as water resistant, but neither the listing nor the official page we checked gives an IP rating. Avoid treating it as sweat-proof or rain-proof without a stated rating.

What is the latency of BEAST Mode on the Prime 513?

boAt’s official page rates BEAST Mode at 50ms, which is designed to reduce audio delay in mobile games.

What comes in the box?

boAt lists the earbuds, a Type-C cable, a user guide, two extra pairs of ear tips and a colour-matched silicone cover.

Prime 513 ANC or Prime 701 ANC?

Pick the 513 for longer claimed battery life (65 versus 50 hours) and Bluetooth 6.0. Pick the 701 for stronger ANC (46dB hybrid versus 32dB) and an IPX5 rating.

Bottom line

The boAt Airdopes Prime 513 ANC is best understood as a long-battery, multipoint earbud with entry-level ANC. Its official specs are well documented, it includes useful extras in the box, and Bluetooth 6.0 with Google Fast Pair makes daily use simple. Its 32dB ANC and the lack of an IP rating are the main reasons to consider something else.
