The OPPO Find X9 Pro is a flagship built for people who put cameras and battery life first: a 6.78-inch 120Hz display, the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chip, a 200MP Hasselblad-branded telephoto camera, a 7,500mAh battery and 80W wired charging. FoneArena calls it one of the most complete Android flagships available in India, though it is heavy and some accessories are sold separately. If you want a compact phone or do not care about zoom photography, you can safely look elsewhere.

The Amazon.in listing this page links to is titled Oppo Find X9 Pro 5G, without RAM, storage or colour in the title. OPPO’s India launch announcement lists only one configuration for the Pro, 16GB RAM with 512GB UFS 4.1 storage, and two colours, Silk White and Titanium Charcoal. Because the title does not confirm any of that, check the variant on the product page before you order. FoneArena’s review unit was described as Space Black, which does not appear in OPPO’s India colour list, another reason to verify the colour.

How this article was prepared: it is based on OPPO’s official India product page and launch announcement and on a published review from FoneArena, which is named wherever it is used. We have not tested the phone ourselves, and nothing here is a hands-on claim. Specifications were checked on 29 October 2026. Prices change often, so they are not listed; check the current price on Amazon.

Quick verdict

  • Best for: mobile photographers who want a 3x telephoto with a 200MP sensor, plus a very large battery, an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and fast charging
  • Skip it if: you want a light or compact phone (it weighs 224g), you dislike preinstalled apps, or you rarely use zoom
  • Key strengths: Dimensity 9500 performance, 200MP telephoto with OIS, 7,500mAh silicon-carbon battery, 80W wired and 50W wireless charging, IP66/IP68/IP69 ratings
  • Key limitations: weight, some preinstalled apps, occasional focus hunting in complex lighting per FoneArena, and an official page that contradicts itself on the telephoto zoom factor

A note on the telephoto: OPPO’s specification section gives a 70mm focal length and its press material says 3x optical zoom, but a line in the page’s FAQ refers to a “5x periscope”. Because the numbers point to 3x, this article treats it as a 3x lens, and you should confirm on OPPO’s site if the exact factor matters to you.

Design and display

At 224g and roughly 8.3mm thick, the Find X9 Pro is a large, heavy phone. FoneArena’s reviewer says it is 9g heavier than its predecessor, but also finds the grip comfortable thanks to the glass back and rounded corners. The display is a flat 6.78-inch panel, which means no edge reflections, no accidental curved-edge touches and a wider choice of screen protectors. OPPO lists 0.12cm ultra-thin bezels; FoneArena lists a 1.15mm symmetrical bezel and calls it an improvement on the Find X8 Pro’s.

The screen is a 1.5K LTPO AMOLED with a 1 to 120Hz refresh range, according to FoneArena. LTPO matters because the phone can drop to a very low refresh rate when you read or look at a static screen, which saves battery, and rise to 120Hz when you scroll. OPPO claims a 3,600-nit peak outdoor brightness, but FoneArena’s figure is up to 1,800 nits, so expect the lower number for real use. FoneArena describes the display as bright and colour-accurate, with 100% DCI-P3 coverage, HDR10 and Dolby Vision. OPPO also lists 2160Hz PWM dimming and TÜV Rheinland and SGS eye-care certifications, relevant if you are sensitive to screen flicker.

Two physical changes are worth noting. A dedicated camera shutter button has been added, and, according to FoneArena, the Snap Key replaces the alert slider found on older OPPO flagships. If you rely on a hardware silent switch, that is a real change. OPPO also describes a customisable Snap Key and Quick Button, an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and a Bionic Haptic Motor.

Performance and thermals

The Dimensity 9500 is built on a 3nm process and paired with OPPO’s Trinity Engine and a vapour chamber cooling system. OPPO claims a 32% faster CPU (single-core) and 33% faster GPU, though these are the manufacturer’s own comparison figures and not independent results. In FoneArena’s review, Call of Duty, BGMI and Genshin Impact ran with no frame drops. Its 3DMark Wild Life Stress Test scored 90.8%, against 57.3% for the Find X8 Pro, with the temperature rising from 32 to 40 degrees Celsius. The reviewer saw little thermal throttling.

What this means: the stress-test result suggests the phone holds its performance far better during long sessions than its predecessor did, which matters for gaming and long video exports. FoneArena’s review is the only independent performance source we used here, so for benchmark comparisons across brands, read more than one review.

Cameras: the 200MP telephoto

The rear system pairs a 50MP main sensor (a 1/1.28-inch Sony LYT-828 with OIS, f/1.5), a 50MP ultra-wide and a 200MP telephoto with OIS (1/1.56-inch, f/2.1, 70mm equivalent). OPPO also lists a 10cm macro mode on the telephoto and a True Colour Camera with 9 spectral channels to help colour accuracy. A 200MP sensor lets the phone crop in with more detail than a 50MP telephoto would, which helps portraits and distant subjects without a drop in quality.

FoneArena calls the 200MP telephoto a standout, with good detail even at 30x zoom, and found low-light shots good with less noise. Portraits were good at 1x, 2x, 3x and 3.6x, and the 50MP front camera produced good selfies with solid edge detection. The ultra-wide was described as similar to the predecessor’s, with macro shooting. The negatives were occasional focus hunting in complex lighting. Very high zoom, up to 120x, uses AI processing, and OPPO says the 60x to 120x on-device AI models can be turned off.

Video is another strength on paper: OPPO lists 4K 120fps Dolby Vision recording and 4K 120fps Log (10-bit). FoneArena confirms 4K 120fps Dolby Vision on the rear cameras and a 4K 60fps HDR front camera, with good OIS and EIS performance, while portrait video is 4K 30fps. For optional extra zoom, OPPO sells a Hasselblad teleconverter separately that it says reaches 10x optical power, but it adds to the total cost.

Battery and charging

The 7,500mAh silicon-carbon battery is much larger than the 5,910mAh unit in the Find X8 Pro. FoneArena reports more than 7.5 hours of screen-on time across two days of mostly Wi-Fi use with occasional 5G at 120Hz and 1.5K, and says it easily lasts more than a day with heavy use. With the 80W SUPERVOOC charger, the reviewer saw 50% in under 30 minutes and 100% in about an hour. A 55W PD charger also works, and 50W magnetic wireless and 10W reverse wireless charging are supported. If you plan to use the wireless features, check which accessories are sold in India, as we could not verify that.

Software and updates

The phone runs ColorOS 16 on Android 16. OPPO India says five years of OS updates and six years of security updates. FoneArena likes the refreshed visual style and the AI tools such as Mind Space, AI Recording and AI Writer, along with Gemini integration, but complains about some preinstalled apps. Treat the AI feature list as OPPO’s own and test what you need after setup.

Who should buy it

  • Zoom-heavy photographers who want a 200MP telephoto and strong low-light results
  • People who value long battery life without sacrificing fast charging
  • Users who like a flat 1.5K LTPO screen and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor
  • Buyers who need IP66/IP68/IP69 durability

Who should skip it

  • Anyone who wants a small or light phone, since it weighs 224g
  • People who need a hardware alert slider
  • Buyers who want a stock-like software experience without preinstalled apps
  • Anyone not interested in zoom photography, who can spend less on a lower model

Alternatives worth comparing

  • OPPO Find X8 Pro: the predecessor, with a 5,910mAh battery and 50MP 3x and 6x telephotos, according to FoneArena and MySmartPrice
  • OPPO Find X8: an older, lighter flat flagship at 193g with a 5,630mAh battery and a single 3x telephoto
  • vivo X300 Pro: FoneArena says it may beat the Find X9 Pro in some niches, so it is worth reading a separate review before deciding

Buying tips before you order

  • Confirm the RAM, storage and colour on the listing, since the title only says Find X9 Pro 5G
  • Check the box: FoneArena lists an 80W charger, a USB Type-C cable, a protective case and a SIM tool, but contents can vary by seller
  • Look at warranty and seller details, and keep your invoice for OPPO service
  • The optional teleconverter is sold separately, and we could not confirm whether a wireless charger is sold in India, so check before you count on those extras
